Linc Grant
FCCMH has a contract with the University of South Florida to implement program and evaluation activities as outlined in objectives and goals of the Florida Linking Individuals Needing Care (FL LINC) grant. This grant was awarded to the University of South Florida by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. It is a five year grant, ending in September 2019. The focus of the grant is to imbed suicide prevention as a core priority in behavioral health care, creating a leadership-driven, safety-oriented culture that commits to dramatically reducing suicide among people under care.
The Council currently -
1) provides contract management and administrative services to three Managing Entities who contract with local providers – three of our member providers have contracts with their MEs (Lifestream, Aspire, New Horizons of the Treasure Coast). Brevard 211 is a new partner in the last year of the grant.
2) facilitates the development of community partnerships and cross system referral networks for identifying at risk suicidal youth, provides technical support to agencies and assists in the development of program implementation/actions plans
3) assists with coordinating and scheduling events, conferences and trainings
