DIRECTOR – OPIOID RESPONSE TRAINING PROJECT

The Florida Behavioral Health Association is seeking to hire a Director for its Opioid Response Training Project. This project consists of (1) a team of physicians with credentials and expertise in the field of addiction medicine who provide technical assistance, mentoring and other supports to providers of substance abuse treatment in the area of medication assisted treatment (MAT) using USDA-approved medications; (2) coordinating consultation and training of hospital staff to support the development and establishment of warm hand-off protocols between the hospital and treatment providers for individuals with a opioid use disorder; and (3) a series of trainings specially designed for corrections and jail personnel to increase understanding of MAT. The position involves coordinating mentoring and training activities, evaluating services, keeping abreast of best and promising practices, reporting and other responsibilities.

Must reside in the State of Florida.

Education/Skills Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health or healthcare related field, a master’s degree is highly preferred.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in behavioral health or healthcare administration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to relate and engage key leaders in hospitals and treatment providers.
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills

Travel:
About 30% of time. Applicants must hold a valid Florida Driver’s License
