Programs and Projects
The Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association (FADAA) regularly participates in and administers operations for special programs and projects.
FADAA is the fiscal administrator for both the Office of State Courts Administrator and the Department of Children and Families in the disbursement of naltrexone to credentialed facilities. A long-acting injectable-form of Naltrexone is used to reduce craving and prevent relapse in opioid dependent patients.
FADAA is also working with the Aetna Foundation to bridge the gap between emergency rooms and behavioral health treatment organizations. A tandem project builds recovery communities throughout the state through the utilization of certified recovery peer specialists.
